An exhibition of works by Masatoshi Narita, who coaxes a sense of quiet stillness from iron — a heavy, imposing material. Clean cylindrical and simple rectangular forms, stripped of all unnecessary ornamentation, allow the shadows and textures produced by forging to emerge. The show marks the debut of his iron kettle, where functional purpose and formal exploration meet.
