An exhibition by ceramicist Naoto Ishii introducing his new work, 'Mame Hana Hachi.' Fired in an anagama kiln, the pieces draw their colors from natural kiln effects, carrying within them a quiet sense of response — like a verse answered in kind. Conceived as vessels for the Taiwanese dessert 'douhua,' how each bowl is ultimately used is left entirely to its owner.
