Akari Sato is a ceramicist whose work spans a wide range — from neriage (marbled clay) using dark stoneware and porcelain clays to Chinese tea ware. Ryu Taniguchi creates crazing-glazed vessels with an antique feel and a gentle warmth. The two were classmates in the advanced course at Tajimi Technical High School. During the exhibition, the neighboring antique shop Mono to Katari plans to serve their Ao to Shiro blend tea using cups by the two artists.
