A solo exhibition by Kensuke Fujiyoshi, who draws on the decorative designs of Edo-period Imari and Arita ware to create refined yet practical ceramics using three techniques: someni (polychrome with cobalt), nishiki (overglaze enamel), and sometsuke (underglaze blue). The show spans works that embrace open, negative space as well as pieces with densely patterned surfaces.
