An exhibition of works by Dai Shikai, a potter based in Mashiko, Tochigi. He digs his own clay and fires it in a wood-burning kiln. The resulting pieces make no show of artifice — they carry a quiet strength and an openness of spirit that connects them to the traditions of folk craft.
