A solo exhibition of jewelry crafted from white mother-of-pearl, lacquer, gold, and silver. Drawing on traditional techniques reminiscent of the Shosoin Imperial treasures, the works bring that heritage into everyday contemporary life. The pieces are simple yet intricately handcrafted. Workshops on decorating small mother-of-pearl accessories with lacquer and raden (shell inlay) will be held on October 24 and 25.
