A solo exhibition by Teshima Shimaen, a potter who lives and works on Teshima Island in Kagawa Prefecture. Drawing on the island's own materials — local clay, plant ash, and minerals — to create glazes, the work is rooted in a primitive, deeply place-based approach to ceramics. After seven and a half years of living on the island, the artist names this accumulated practice "Teshima-yaki" and presents it as a pivotal moment of transformation.
