Hironori Yamashita, who works in Saga, produces organic hand-built forms with metallic glazes and gradations achieved through carbonization firing. Hajime Tamura, based in Akita, creates sharp-edged wheel-thrown forms with soft gradations of natural ash glaze. The exhibition brings together two distinct artistic philosophies that resonate with one another.
