Born in Niigata City in 1982. After graduating from Bunkyo University's Faculty of Letters, he completed the forming course at the Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics Technical College, then honed his skills at Higasa Tokobo, a Kasama ware kiln in Ibaraki Prefecture. He returned to Niigata in 2008 and built his own kiln. He pursues clean, beautiful wheel-thrown forms, working with self-blended glazes and semi-porcelain clay. He is active nationwide, primarily through solo exhibitions and craft fairs.
