An exhibition of work by Yuriko Morioka, who creates ceramics in Amano, Wakayama Prefecture. Since 1982, she has been making white porcelain at the foot of Mount Koya, drawing on her experience with Korean ceramics and her deep affinity for Joseon-dynasty white porcelain to develop a distinctive artistic voice. On display are white porcelain pieces fired in a wood-burning kiln using the 'nama-gake' (raw-glazing) technique, alongside vases with relief decoration and faceting, and blue-and-white works — all designed for everyday use.
