Hiromitsu Fujiwara Exhibition: "momentary"

A solo exhibition by ceramic artist Hiromitsu Fujiwara, centered on white and black vessels. The white pieces are thrown on the wheel to their thinnest possible limit, while the black pieces are created by applying and burnishing black clay slip three times before firing, then finished with beeswax oil. All works pursue the raw texture of clay without the use of glazes, and visitors are welcome to pick them up and experience them firsthand.
