A solo exhibition by Seoul-based artist Subin Bae. The works translate the scorched traces of metal welding into wood through the use of fire. Each joint's burn mark takes on a different expression depending on the wood grain and the angle and speed of the flame; sealed with resin and polished, the surface acquires a distinctive, porcelain-like texture. The works expand from a minimal box unit into various sizes and configurations.
