Available from June 17 at Tobetobe Studio. Participants work with Shigaraki clay, which is then fired in a Shigaraki wood-fired kiln — a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Using 750 grams of clay, participants can create up to two pieces from forms such as matcha bowls, guinomi sake cups, katakuchi pourers, or flat plates. No glaze is applied; the finished pieces take on natural hi-iro flame markings or ash glaze effects. Sessions last 1.5 to 2 hours. Fee: 15,000 yen (firing included). Completed pieces are ready in 3 to 4 months.
