Eiji Uematsu Exhibition: "Form"

Artist: 植松永次

An archival exhibition by Eiji Uematsu. Flowers of toad lily in full bloom are arranged in vases that evoke cut pipes, inviting viewers to receive the quiet thoughts and messages embedded in each work. Every form holds its own story within. Born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture in 1949; based in Iga, Mie Prefecture, working with earth and fire as his primary materials.

Megumi Miyamoto Exhibition: "Longing for Blue"

Artist: 宮本めぐみ

A solo exhibition by ceramic artist Megumi Miyamoto, featuring everyday vessels centered on the theme of "blue," highlighting the flow of glazes and layering of colors. New works include a lotus-leaf bowl (blue gradation) and a small donburi bowl (gray-celadon glaze). The artist will be present on November 7.

Megumi Tsukazaki Solo Exhibition: '& SAUCER ＿ Beloved Sceneries'

Artist: 塚崎 愛

A solo exhibition by Megumi Tsukazaki, featuring cups and saucers, accessories, and other vessels that accompany everyday life. The new series 'Keshiki Kan'nyū' makes its debut at this show. Sweets by Noriko Fujishima of food circus are also part of the exhibition.

Shingo Umano Exhibition

Artist: 馬野真吾

A solo exhibition by Shingo Umano, a ceramist who explores clay, white slip, glaze formulations, and firing methods, always honoring the natural expressions that glazes bring forth. The show features vessels that gently embrace food and everyday cooking. Visits on the opening day, the 14th, require a reservation until 2:00 p.m.

Akihiro Kodera & Hitoshi Morimoto: Two-Person Exhibition — Geese Carrying Reeds —

Artist: 小寺暁洋, 森本仁

A two-person exhibition featuring Hokuriku glass artist Akihiro Kodera and Bizen ceramist Hitoshi Morimoto. Though the two come from different backgrounds and work in different disciplines, their paths crossed in Bizen, making this exhibition possible. Both artists will be present on opening day. Admission is limited to five people at a time, with 45-minute rotations during busy periods.

Masahiro Takataya Solo Exhibition

Artist: 高田谷将宏

The first solo exhibition at SML by Masahiro Takataya, a ceramic artist from Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture. The show focuses on kushime (comb-pattern) vessels, a technique he has been exploring in depth in recent years. The works embody a quiet, understated presence, with subtly undulating rims and the rich, weighty beauty of the clay itself. Lottery entry tickets will be distributed at 11:30 a.m. on the opening day.

MIDORI NAKAJIMA SOLO EXHIBITION『RANDOM TALK』

The first solo exhibition in Nagoya by illustrator Midori Nakajima. The show features new tile works—her main focus this year—alongside panel pieces and merchandise from previous projects. Works spanning different periods and materials come together in a single space, as if striking up a lively conversation. One drink order is required for entry.

Motoharu Ozawa: Solo Exhibition

From quiet everyday moments to special gatherings around the table—Motoharu Ozawa's vessels accompany the many scenes of daily life, adding color and joy to food and dining. Discover a rich world of form and color born from his craft. Reservations required on the first day only; walk-ins welcome from the second day onward. The artist will be present November 21–23.

Hiro Yoshizawa | Utsuwa Utatane | Maruyama Ware: Three-Person Exhibition

Artist: うつわ うたたね, マルヤマウエア, 吉沢寛郎

A group show featuring three makers from different regions—Mashiko, Nara, and Okayama. Hiro Yoshizawa captivates with his expressive glazework; Utsuwa Utatane explores a wide range of styles rooted in Mishima-te; and Maruyama Ware pushes from Mishima into their own unique "shibori-te" technique. Together, the three offer a rich and varied showcase of decorative expression.

Nana Goto + Asa Yoshi: Exhibition

Artist: アサ佳, 後藤奈々

An exhibition and sale of works by two ceramic artists centered on tableware. From Nana Goto, based in Niigata, come pieces with a smooth texture and refined, gentle forms. From Asa Yoshi, based in Gifu, come works in a wide range of designs, with a focus on the popular Shirakaba (birch) series.

Goji Ueno Solo Exhibition

Artist: 上野剛児

A solo exhibition by Goji Ueno. During the exhibition period, Yuka Amemiya of Hibi Hana will also present flower arrangements.

Shinpei Mawatari: Solo Exhibition

Artist: 馬渡新平

A solo exhibition by ceramicist Shinpei Mawatari, known for his vessels in white crackle kohiki style and related works.

Kenichi Iwase Ceramics Exhibition — In Search of Flowers Yet Unseen —

Artist: 岩瀬健一

A ceramics exhibition by Kenichi Iwase, held at Kakuden Gallery. A tea ceremony in the tearoom 'Zangetsu' was also held as a related event. Born in Tokyo in 1946, Iwase studied under masters Kosei Matsui and Kiyoaki Tsuji before establishing his own kiln in Hachioji. He is a full member of the Japan Kogei Association.
