Yukimichi Kiyooka Ceramic Exhibition

Artist: 清岡幸道

A ceramics exhibition by Yukimichi Kiyooka, featuring works such as lidded vessels in blue-grey glaze. On the opening day, September 23 (Wed.), entry will be by reservation until 2:00 p.m. (groups of up to 4, in 30-minute slots). Reservations will be accepted by email on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2.

Yuji Muraki Exhibition

Artist: 村木雄児

A solo exhibition by Yuji Muraki, held at Utsuwa Kaede Jingumae. Worth visiting whether you have long admired his work or have only recently discovered it. Further details will be announced in due course.

Katsutoshi Mizuno: Porcelain Exhibition

Artist: 水野克俊

An exhibition by Katsutoshi Mizuno, a ceramicist based in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture. Using porcelain clay from Tobe in Ehime, he draws on the classical traditions of Joseon white porcelain, Song dynasty ceramics, and early Imari ware to pursue the refined beauty unique to white porcelain. The collection ranges from everyday tableware to pieces suited for special occasions.

Kenta Anzai Works Exhibition

Artist: 安齊賢太

An exhibition of works by ceramicist Kenta Anzai. Entry on the opening day (September 25) requires a phone reservation, accepted from 11:00 a.m. on September 18 (tel. 03-3571-0520). In-person reservations are not accepted.

Kohoku Kids Museum: Art & Culture Festival

A workshop inviting participants to decorate a miniature Shigaraki-ware tanuki (raccoon dog) figurine using paint markers. Participation fee: 500 yen; duration: approximately 20 minutes. Open to children and their families (children not yet of school age must be accompanied by a guardian). Numbered tickets will be distributed from 10:00 a.m. and 12:50 p.m.

Noboru Yagihashi Exhibition

Artist: 八木橋昇

Held at KOHORO in Futako-tamagawa. The show features a diverse range of vessels, including pieces glazed with ko-gosu (antique cobalt blue), evoking warm, steam-filled tables. The artist will be present on Saturday, September 26. Note: the gallery will close at 5:00 p.m. on October 3 due to a nearby fireworks display.

Yoshinori Nagashima Exhibition

Artist: 永島義教

An exhibition of works by Yoshinori Nagashima at Utsuwa Chidori. No reservation required — all are welcome to drop in. The artist will be present on Saturday, September 26. Opening hours are 12:00–18:00.

Preparing for Tea

Artist: 岩田智子, 竹下努

A group exhibition by three artists working in different materials — ceramics, porcelain, and woodwork. The show proposes vessels and tools for taking a quiet moment with tea, coffee, or something sweet, themed around the simple pleasure of a tea break as autumn deepens.

Rai-Atelier / Tamaki Ito Exhibition: "Wearing the Air"

Artist: 伊藤環

An exhibition welcoming the Tagami couple of Rai-Atelier and ceramicist Tamaki Ito from Okayama. Garments that seem to hold light and breeze alongside vessels with a quiet, understated presence.

Younghee Oh Exhibition: Kahohayushi

Artist: 呉瑛姫

A solo exhibition by Younghee Oh, a ceramicist based in Tajimi, Gifu. The works invite visitors to enjoy a playful, innocent spirit — as if a child delighting in clay — alongside a well-honed sense of form and a charmingly unhurried mood expressed through smooth surfaces. Opening day hours: 11:00–18:00; other days: 12:00–18:00; closed Wednesday, September 30; final day until 17:00.

Kota Tanaka Ceramic Exhibition

A ceramic exhibition by Kota Tanaka, held at sumica栖 in Yokohama.

Komokama Solo Exhibition

Artist: 中西申幸（光萌窯）

A solo exhibition by Nobuyuki Nakanishi of Komokama, a pottery based in Tokushima Prefecture. The works are distinguished by a white ceramic surface reminiscent of linen cloth, accented with delicate blue. The popular Bird Play Series features vivid blue birds dancing across a soft, washi-like white surface. The artist, Nobuyuki Nakanishi, will be in attendance on the opening day.

Katsuya Shojima Ceramic Exhibition

Artist: 正島克哉

A ceramic exhibition by Katsuya Shojima. Entry on the first day and until 2:00 p.m. on the second day is by reservation only (lottery). The artist (Katsuya and Chie) will be present on September 30. Hours: 12:00–19:00 (until 17:00 on the final day); open every day during the run.
