A three-person exhibition by Manabu Akamine, Chieco Fujii (CHIECO ceramics), and Yoshichika Yamada. Working between Okinawa and Los Angeles, the three artists explore the theme of "the color intensity of an Okinawa that feels both near and far" — a quality rooted in memory and consciousness. Tableware, flower vessels, and sculptural objects come together beneath Kyoto's light to form a single, cohesive space.

Lapis Gallery Pop-Up in Higashi-Hiroshima: 'Art and Everyday Life — Two Days Where Home and Art Meet'

An exhibition and sale of works by eleven artists — including prints, objects, woodwork, and ceramics — held at the Maeda Housing Higashi-Hiroshima showroom. The event also features a market, food trucks, and a café. Workshops are offered (wallpaper book covers, single-stem vases from scrap wood, and succulent plants), along with a planned quiz rally.

Ryoma Matsubara Exhibition

Susumu Suzuki & Kae Takada Two-Person Exhibition

Artist: 高田かえ, 鈴木進

A joint exhibition by this married couple of ceramicists. Susumu Suzuki presents a wide range of pieces — including teapots and tea ware — in glazes such as 'Matsubara Hai,' 'Kohiki,' and black glaze. Kae Takada creates distinctive hand-built vessels and vases whose asymmetric, clay-textured forms carry the presence of sculptural art pieces. Both artists will be in attendance on Saturday, October 3.

Mashiko Pottery Fair at Yebisu Garden Place 2026

A Tokyo edition of the celebrated Mashiko Pottery Fair from Mashiko, Tochigi. Works by over 100 kilns and emerging makers are brought together, offering a world where tradition and innovation in ceramics meet. The event also includes sales of handcrafted goods and exhibits introducing local food culture.

Naotsugu Yoshida Exhibition

Artist: 吉田直嗣

A solo exhibition in which Naotsugu Yoshida presents, with quiet honesty, what he most wants to make right now. This is his fourth solo show at Terada Bijutsu. The artist will be present on Saturday, October 3. Opening hours are 12:00–18:00 (until 17:00 on the final day).

Akari Furutani Exhibition

Artist: 古谷朱里

A solo exhibition by Akari Furutani, who makes ceramics in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture. Her work is characterized by skillful use of glazes in vivid colors and forms that feel at home in both Japanese and Western table settings. This show focuses on pieces evoking the warmth of autumn and winter, ranging from deep, rich tones to ash glazes and bright lemon yellow.

Yoji Yamada & Taku Nagaki: Two-Person Exhibition

A joint exhibition featuring Yoji Yamada, a ceramicist based in Shigaraki, and Taku Nagaki, a glassmaker based in Matsumoto. Yamada focuses primarily on everyday tableware, while Nagaki presents objects, one-of-a-kind pieces, and sake vessels. The show offers a quiet atmosphere where two distinct crafts intersect.

Akari Sato & Ryu Taniguchi: Two-Person Exhibition

Artist: 佐藤朱理, 谷口竜

Akari Sato is a ceramicist whose work spans a wide range — from neriage (marbled clay) using dark stoneware and porcelain clays to Chinese tea ware. Ryu Taniguchi creates crazing-glazed vessels with an antique feel and a gentle warmth. The two were classmates in the advanced course at Tajimi Technical High School. During the exhibition, the neighboring antique shop Mono to Katari plans to serve their Ao to Shiro blend tea using cups by the two artists.

P&A Pottery Market at BONUS TRACK

Artist: ATSUSHI ITO, Hiraparr, leequraand 11 more

A pottery market featuring 18 artists and shops associated with P&A, held at BONUS TRACK in Shimokitazawa. Visitors can purchase ceramic tableware and objects directly from each artist's booth. A mini-object-making workshop (¥4,950 per person, one drink included) will also be held during the event. With food and drink available, the two-day event has a festive, market-day atmosphere. Free admission.

Utsuwa ya Mitasu Exhibition

Artist: うつわやみたす（安達知亨・加奈江）

A solo exhibition by 'Utsuwa ya Mitasu,' the ceramic duo formed by the married couple Tomoyuki and Kanae Adachi, based in Chiba. Their work is characterized by vessels adorned with three-dimensional animal motifs. The show features pieces inspired by the nature of Kitahira in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture, including forest animals and wild birds, as well as vessels featuring dogs and cats. Admission on the opening day, October 11, is by reservation only (lottery-based).

Junko Kanenari Solo Exhibition
