An exhibition celebrating the beauty of everyday life nurtured by local traditions across Japan. Held at two venues: Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. and Takashimaya Osaka. A concurrent exhibition features the Ryukyuan folk crafts of Okinawa, as encountered by Soetsu Yanagi. Works by craftspeople from around the country are brought together, including straw crafts, ceramics, bashofu (banana fiber cloth), bamboo basketry, ironware, and woodwork.
